Confronting Iran, Top US Military Officials Will Visit Israel

COMMANDER of the United States (US) Central Forces or CENTCOM General Michael Erik Kurilla will visit Israel on Thursday (11/4), to discuss coordinating defense plans once morest possible attacks by Iran and its proxies.

“Kurilla is expected to meet senior Israeli military officials and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant,” the Axios news site reported, citing two Israeli officials.

The report quoted Israeli officials as saying that they were preparing for a possible direct attack on Israel from Iranian territory. Israel will retaliate once morest the attack on Iranian territory.

US President Joe Biden warned that Washington’s commitment to Israel’s security once morest threats from Iran and its proxies is very strong. This was following Tehran vowed to retaliate once morest Israeli air strikes on its consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

“We will do everything we can to protect Israel’s security,” Biden said during a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The exchange of threats between Israel and Iran has escalated tensions, and Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning in a post on social media.

In a post on X, written in Hebrew and Persian and directly tagging Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Katz said his country would retaliate if Iran launched an attack on Israel from its territory.

Gallant also emphasized that any aggression once morest his country would be met with strong defense followed by a strong response in the attacker’s area.

His comments came shortly following Khamenei’s remarks in Tehran, where he addressed crowds on the eve of the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, saying the evil regime made mistakes and should be punished, and so it should be.
