LA CONCORDIA.- A confrontation between two criminal groups was reported in Chiapas during this Sunday followingnoon.
The events occurred in the town of New Paradise in La Concordia, Chiapas.
According to the first reports, a confrontation between alleged criminal groups began at 1:30 pm, leaving several people injured, homes and vehicles burned, and even a ranch destroyed.
Residents of the town said they heard several gunshots, which lasted for hours. They also took photos and videos of the burning vehicles.

So far it is unknown which criminal groups would be involved in the confrontation or the reasons for it, but it is presumed that it is a dispute over territory.

After the alleged confrontation, subjects who identified themselves as part of the Poster of Chiapas and Guatemala (CCYG) issued a direct message to the state authorities through a video broadcast in groups of WhatsApp.
He CCYG denied the presence of CJalisco New Generation cartel (CJNG) in Chiapas, accusing state authorities of fabricating said narrative for “political” and security reasons.
La Concordia is a region designated as a red light for organized crimeby at least two groups that dispute control of said territory.
Yesterday, Saturday, it was also reported that criminal groups set fire to two trailers near a convenience store.
