Agents of the Municipal Police repelled an armed attack by a group of criminals who managed to shoot an officer, an armed suspect died in the confrontation and they managed to arrest three alleged hit men, the events occurred on Saturday in San Luís Río Colorado, Sonora , very close to the border with Arizona in the United States; although the persecution that led to the confrontation began in Baja California where four other armed men were arrested.
According to the witnesses’ report, the police were driving through the Ejido Pozas de Arvizu, very close to the area known as Valle de San Luis, when they detected a black GMC Yukon truck with bullet holes, for which they began the pursuit and were attacked with bullets.
The confrontation and persecution had originated in the Ejido Guadalupe Victoria, municipality of Mexicali, where Code Red was activated and led to a persecution that lasted as far as Sonora, where the Municipal Police of San Luis Río Colorado, as the first responder, closed them down. the passage to the delinquents, attacked with a firearm, which they repelled, throwing as a general result, three detainees and one killed in Sonora and four detainees, previously, in Baja California.
The Sonora Prosecutor’s Office integrates the investigation folder for the three detainees: Jesús Armando “N.”, 23 years old, Eric “N.”, 19 years old, and Javier “N.”, 22 years old, for the crimes of attempted homicide to the detriment of 7 people, criminal association and whatever results.
The aggressor who lost his life in the confrontation is identified as Salvador “N”, 32 years old, originally from Manuel Doblado, Guanajuato.
They were under the protection of the Baja California authorities: José Alfredo “N.”, 37 years old, Genaro “N.”, 22 years old, José Domingo “N.”, 40 years old and a minor of 16 years.
In addition, they seized: 1 caliber 6.56×45 mp5 rifle, 3 caliber 7.62×39 rifles, known as horn de chivo, 8 loaded magazines, a fragmentation grenade and 120 useful cartridges caliber 7.62×39, 3 ballistic vests, and a Chevrolet Tahoe vehicle, color sand, model 2002, affiliated to ONAPAFA, which has a report of theft.
In this operation they managed to secure two 7.62x39mm-caliber rifle-type long weapons, a 9mm-caliber pistol-type short weapon, an AR15-type 5.56x45mm-caliber long weapon, 3 tactical bulletproof vests, 11 magazines supplied with 7.62x39mm caliber, 5 magazines supplied for .223 and 52 artifacts known as “rim punches”.
The three detainees in San Luis Río Colorado were placed at the disposal of the Sonora Prosecutor’s Office; while the rest of the suspects were detained in Baja California.
