One of the main parties involved is still on the run.
Another person died and more wounded arrived at the Pérez Carreño in the last hours, which are related to the confrontation that took place in Antímano, when apparently a man arrived with a weapon and a grenade to confront an official who was at a party.
The journalist Joan Camargo confirmed that a second person died, it is Freddy Vera, who joined Erwin Zapata as those who lost their lives and who apparently had nothing to do with the dispute.
It also revealed that the “confronted” were both officials. It all happened at a street party held in the Mamera 1 neighborhood of Antímano, Caracas.
Neighbors in the area say that, in the place where the events occurred, every weekend dozens of people gather to drink and listen to music.
This Saturday night was no exception. Many neighbors were on a corner drinking liquor, including two police officers, who at the time were carrying their regulation weapons, Camargo published on the Todos Ahora portal.
In the early hours of Sunday morning both argued, allegedly, over a woman, and in the middle of the impasse they took out their pistols and confronted each other.
The projectiles hit 14 people in total, including one of the police officers involved, identified as Walter Ciociola.
Among the residents of the sector, they helped the victims and transferred them to the Miguel Pérez Carreño hospital, where two of the injured died.
Seven of the injured are identified as Yosmari Rodríguez Amundaray, Jordan González, Jordan Abelardo, Felipe Andrés Vásquez, Cáliz Mosquera, Ángela Gallardo and Gabriel Méndez.
According to police sources, the other official involved in the event has not been captured and has not yet been identified.
Cicpc officials began inquiries to clarify the case in the next few hours.
