Conductor Myung-Hoon Jung and pianist Yun-Chan Lim will be on stage in October.

Conductor Myung-Hoon Chung and pianist Yun-Chan Lim, who became the youngest ever winner of the 16th US Van Cliburn International Competition, will perform on the same stage.

The Lotte Cultural Foundation (CEO Kim Seon-kwang) announced that Lim Yun-chan will perform in the concert of Myung-hoon Jeong & One Korea Orchestra on October 5th.

One Korea Orchestra is a symphony orchestra with former and current members of domestic orchestras and Korean performers working abroad for the purpose of inter-Korean exchange.

In this performance, Myung-Hoon Chung and One Korea Orchestra perform one of Beethoven’s most famous symphonies and concertos: Piano Concerto No. 5 ‘The Emperor’ and Symphony No. 5 ‘Fate’.

The Piano Concerto No. 5 Emperor is a representative repertoire that Jeong often plays with young pianists representing Korea such as Kim Seon-wook, including the one he performed with Seong-jin Jo at the 1st anniversary of the opening of the Lotte Concert Hall in 2017.

A representative from the Lotte Cultural Foundation said, “The youngest piano ’emperor’ Yun-chan Lim, who is the youngest winner of the Van Cliburn Competition, and Jeong Myung-hoon, the master conductor, meet and perform like ‘fate’ for a special Beethoven stage this fall, when you can’t help but look forward to anything from the conductor, collaborator, and repertoire. It will be a performance that receives the most attention.”

Lotte Concert Hall Vineyard members can reserve tickets from 2pm on June 30th, and general members from 2pm on July 1st. R seat 170,000 won, S seat 120,000 won, A seat 80,000 won, B seat 50,000 won.
