The Prime Minister of Spain criticized both the “terrorist group” Hamas and Israel, the latter of which carries out the “indiscriminate killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza”.
The condemnation of Israel’s attacks once morest Palestinian civilians is “a question of humanity”, said, on Sunday (26), Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Spain, at an event of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE).
Condemning the vile terrorist attacks of a terrorist group like Hamas and, at the same time, condemning the indiscriminate killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza is not a question of political parties or ideologies, it is a question of humanity.
He also urged the Popular Party (PP) to support his position.
The statements come amid growing tensions between Spain and Israel over Spain’s position on the need to unilaterally recognize Palestine.
On Friday (24), Sánchez stated that the time has come to recognize the State of Palestine and that, if European countries do not do so together, Spain “will adopt its own decisions”.
The politician opined, on Thursday (23), that the Palestinian group Hamas cannot involve “the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians, including thousands of boys and girls”.
He said that “the international community must accompany and provide the necessary support to achieve the two-state solution.”
