The MJC la Maison and the Compagnie Guillaume Lopez present, on Saturday March 5, at 9 p.m., a concert by the Guillaume Lopez Quartet. Guillaume Lopez, ferryman of memory and borders, is an imaginative singer who questions his multiple identities and mixes in each of his creations the Spain of his origins, the voices and the music of the Mediterranean world. An accomplished artist in perpetual quest for encounters and risk-taking, he is distinguished by the diversity of his many creations around an artistic approach assumed and nourished by numerous musical collaborations mixing styles and diverse cultures. In this quartet, he surrounds himself with three of his most faithful accomplices for a trip between Toulouse, Spain, Argentina, world music and song. Morgan Astruc will be on guitar, Thierry Roques on accordion, Simon Portefaix on percussion and Guillaume Lopez on vocals, flutes and bagpipes. For all audiences. Prices: member of the MJC, 6 euros; under 15, 5 euros. Reservations now at the MJC la Maison, 8, place de Compostelle 32600 L’Isle-Jourdain, at 05.62.07.21.06 or by email ([email protected]).
