The rise of the far right threatens the future of Europe.

The war in Ukraine is notably absent from right-wing MEPs’ responses, instead focusing on the dangers of immigration and the erosion of national sovereignty, as well as the pitfalls of a hasty implementation of the Green Deal.”

Finally, according to newsit, Politico notes that the Ursula von der Leyen hopes for a second term as president of the European Commission and as it appears from the poll among the members of the European Parliament, she is the most dominant of the candidates.
About 1 in 5 respondents said they would like von der Leyen to serve another term, but even her own EPP caucus is divided.
A small minority, dominated by the ECR and the Greens, openly oppose von der Leyen, according to the same survey.
