Concern over unwarranted criticism of commitment stability: Corps commanders’ conference

Forum participants Friday at the Corps Commanders Conference Operation ‘Continuity of Resolve’ expressed concern over the ‘unwarranted criticism and speculations for vested interests’ while stressing the importance of the operation and calling it the need of the hour.

On June 22, a meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Action Plan was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, in which Army Chief General Asim Munir also participated. In this meeting, the operation ‘Azam-e-Shattab’ was approved to counter militancy.

According to the declaration, the participants of the conference termed the ongoing digital terrorism as a conspiracy against state institutions to fulfill political ambitions.

It was said in the meeting that ‘the purpose of digital terrorism under the auspices of external forces against the state is to spread hypocrisy and despair in the nation through lies, fake news and propaganda.’

The participants in the conference said that the forces of Pakistan and the Pakistani nation are not only aware of these conspiracies but are determined and united to defeat the evil intentions of the enemy.

According to the ISPR, the forum called ‘resolute commitment’ as an important step in the strategy adopted for counter-terrorism.

At the same time, the forum condemned the serious violations of human rights, war crimes and genocide in Kashmir and Gaza.

The participants of the conference also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies for peace and stability.

Operation Commitment Stability

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that the purpose of stability is to decisively eradicate the remnants of terrorists, crimes and terrorist nexus and violent extremism in the country.
