The National route 237which serves as one of the main access roads to the Andean zone of Neuquén and Río Negroseems these days filled with tourists who pass through it for the beginning of the holidays and also of guanacos with babieswhose presence was a cause of concern for the National Parks authorities.
This was reported in a statement released this Saturday, where it was warned that, during the last week, 3 accidents of this species were recorded on the national highwayin the area near Villa Llanquín and the amphitheater, a few kilometers northeast of Bariloche.
In this context, the administration of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, with jurisdiction in that area, asked the drivers Travel at low speed and respecting the indicative signs, to avoid new accidents.
As explained in the letter, since the beginning of summer “A large number of tourists observed the crossing of guanacos at different points of the aforementioned route.«, which crosses the northeastern part of the protected area, bordering the Limay River.

Finally, the authorities indicated that, among the main threats that this animal faces within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Poaching and run-overs are found on Route 237now with intense traffic due to the summer tourist season.
