Three years ago, the Xbox boss Phil Spencer was questioned on the unannounced title from the first-party studio that he was most excited to see by the public. Spencer had two games in mind, the first being Compulsion’s next effort, called Project Midnight.
Compulsion was bought by Microsoft in 2018, but since We Happy Few (and DLC) released the same year, we haven’t really heard of what they do next. What we do know, however, is that the studio has doubled in size over the past two years, and now it looks like the reveal might happen next month.
As noticed it Idle Sloth on TwitterCompulsion Games has now hired a brand and communications director, while looking for a Community Manager. Both of these positions aren’t usually related to actual game production, but rather marketing them – something you need when the reveal is pretty close and you need staff to hype up your titles.
While certainly not a confirmation, it looks like we’ll get to see Phil Spencer’s favorite project at Xbox Games Showcase 2023. June 11.
