Hossam Sadiq, Executive Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority, stressed that the state’s public treasury bears the financial burden of the disease, with its risks and its psychological effects, on families most in need of comprehensive health insurance, which helps reduce poverty rates.
Hossam Sadiq, Executive Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority, said: The new system covers more than 3,000 diverse health services, including surgical intervention, analyzes, radiology, tumor treatment, organ transplants, prosthetic devices, visual and hearing aids, dental treatment, therapeutic and complementary foods, and others. According to the latest science and its mechanisms are available in medical institutions, whether in the public and private sectors, university hospitals or affiliated with the Health Care Authority, and we aim to provide 100% of medical services by completing the application of the system in all governorates, pointing out that the beneficiaries have the right to freely choose the place of receiving medical service in the approved authorities under the umbrella of Comprehensive health insurance.
He added that the Comprehensive Health Insurance General Authority is keen to respond quickly and immediately to citizens’ complaints received through the “unified complaints” platform in the Council of Ministers, in a way that contributes to developing and improving services provided to beneficiaries, as we received regarding 499 complaints, during the last period.
