Compliance with health measures is monitored in capital neighborhoods due to an increase in cases

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Health and police personnel verified compliance with health protocols at 35 businesses in the Salvador del Mundo neighborhood of Campo Grande, to corroborate compliance with the measures imposed by the Ministry of Public Health in response to the increase in positive cases of Covid-19 in the Capital.

Officials from the Salvador del Mundo Health Center, which is part of the Eleventh Sanitary Region – Capital, and personnel from the 10th Metropolitan Police Station, began the procedure with zone monitoring in hair salons, hardware stores, haberdasheries and other businesses. The next visit will take place this Thursday, August 27, in order to reach 70 verified establishments this week.

Mandatory measures include washing hands with soap and water, using alcohol gel, wearing masks, and maintaining physical distancing.

During the tour, it was found that 80% of businesses are complying with the requirements. This work will continue until 100% compliance with the coronavirus prevention and protection measures is verified.

Following the activity, the coordinator of the Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the XVIII Health Region, Dr. Liz Ovelar, emphasized the need for each health service in the Capital to form its community COE to work more closely with the community in the fight against Covid-19.

The delegation thanked Commissioner Ever Caballero of the 10th Metropolitan Police Station for his support, and urged residents to wear protective masks even when going to the neighborhood grocery store, wash their hands before entering any establishment, whatever it may be, use alcohol gel and maintain a distance of two meters from other people. These measures are crucial to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
