AU: The negotiation process took some time. What was it like for you, and what ultimately led to you choosing the Blue Jays?
AS: Yeah, it was a lengthy process, but that’s just part of the business. Both sides were thorough in their discussions, and I’m grateful for the respect and patience shown throughout. I chose the Blue Jays because I believe in the direction this team is heading.They have a great group of guys, a talented coaching staff, and a passionate fan base. I wanted to be a part of that and help contribute to their success.
AU: Speaking of success, the Blue Jays have set their sights on a World Series title. How do you think your addition to the team will impact their chances?

I’ll do my best to make some unbelievable plays and hit the ball far when the opportunity arises. AU: You’ve played in some high-pressure situations throughout your career.How do you handle the moment, and how do you think your experience will help the younger players on the blue Jays roster?
AS: Experience is a big part of handling high-pressure situations. I try to stay calm and focused, knowing that I’ve been in those moments before. I’m more than happy to share my knowledge with the younger players, help them grow, and contribute to their development.We’re all in this together, and I’m ready to mentor and learn from my teammates as well.
AU: Lastly, Anthony, what do you like to do in your free time when you’re not on the field?
AS: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to play video games – I’m a big fan of NBA 2K. When I get the chance,I like to explore the city I’m living in,try new foods,and just take in the local culture.
