ALGIERS – The Sonelgaz group announced, Thursday in a press release, having completed the operation to reduce the number of subsidiary companies, from 34 to 11 companies, following the merger-absorption of three subsidiary companies.
As part of the final phase of the operation to reduce the number of subsidiary companies of the group, this involves the merger-absorption by the company Sonelgaz-Production of electricity of the company Shariket Kahraba El Djazair (SKE) , the merger-absorption by the company Sonelgaz-Renewable Energies of the Algerian company of renewable energies (Shaems) and the merger-absorption by the company Sonelgaz-services of the company Shariket Amn Wa Himayat El Mounchaat El Kahrabaiya Wa El Ghaziya, specifies the same source.
This operation comes following the conclusions of the meeting of the board of directors held on Wednesday and follows the reorganization and restructuring process undertaken by Sonelgaz since 2022, having made it possible to “rejuvenate the management of its companies in a fluid and progressive manner, while by preserving all the socio-professional achievements of its staff and giving them new opportunities for development and advancement of their careers,” notes the press release.
On this occasion, the CEO of Sonelgaz, Mourad Adjal chaired a ceremony in the presence of representatives of workers’ unions and participation committees as well as executives of the group, during which he proceeded with the installation of new management executives of the companies Sonelgaz-distribution, Sonelgaz-electricity transmission and system operator, Sonelgaz-renewable energies, Sonelgaz-engineering and Sonlegaz-services, in addition to the installation of several senior executives in the Holding company.
The CEO of Sonelgaz praised “the efforts made by the social partner to ensure the stability of the working climate within the group’s companies”, expressing his thanks to all of the company’s workers for the achievements recorded in over the last two years, particularly with regard to the implementation of the development programs of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, including energy connection projects for remote areas, agricultural farms and industrial zones,” adds the same source.
