All the arrangements to be made for a good pilgrimage were demonstrated this Wednesday at CICES by the religious guides of KAPIO. A simulation session was undertaken in front of the many pilgrims to allow them to have an overview of what the ”HAJJ” is and how it is done once they arrive in Mecca.
This year, a large-scale innovation through the Regroupement KAPIO is set in motion so that pilgrims are in the best possible conditions. “I am the Secretary General of the KAPIO Voyages Group and this is a simulation session that we are doing, because we have realized that theoretical exercises are not enough”, says El Hadji. Diaguila Faye who had just completed an exercise with the pilgrims. The latter consisted of demonstrations and repetitions aloud of some passages from the Holy Quran. We felt like we were in the middle of ”HAJJ”. This is what our interlocutor said in these terms: “It is therefore a real exercise that they are going to do here, which will allow us to detect a little pilgrims who have physical problems, problems of locomotion, among others,” explains El Hadji Diaguila Faye. And to continue that once they are in Mecca, pilgrims with reduced mobility will be taken care of and this is moreover the purpose of this simulation session, that is to say it makes it possible to make a diagnosis “We plan to take rickshaws once we get there to make their job a little easier. This is the objective of this meeting with the General Coordinator, Colonel Ousmane Mbaye”, he informs. Speaking of the tools made available to pilgrims, the Secretary General said that they will greatly help and facilitate things. “When pilgrims arrive in Mecca, they are often completely disoriented, so we have put in place a system that allows you to visualize a certain number of things that they are going to see at Mecca,” he notes. With regard to the number of pilgrims to be transported this year as well as with regard to the dates of departure, a total of 694 pilgrims and four or even five supervisors will be leaving. The precursors being planned from June 11, constitute the supervisors if we are still to believe Mr. Faye: “On June 13 we have the first departure by the Emirates flight and then we have a flight on June 15 in the following -noon to 1:00 p.m. and ten minutes by ”Sayna” and we have a flight on June 18, that’s the flight of what are called VIPs, but which we call ”Comfort plus”. So that’s a total of 694 pilgrims”. Remember that at their level, everything is ready, ranging from technological means including headphones, the electronic booklet given to pilgrims to facilitate their work and make them more independent: “Each pilgrim knows what he must do , passports and visas are also out and we are really ready with all the necessary arrangements,” he concludes.
