The highly anticipated MotoGP 2025 season kicks off next week with the Thailand Grand Prix, scheduled for Febuary 28 to March 2 at the Chang International Circuit. Though, the excitement is tempered by injury concerns for two prominent riders.
Defending champion Jorge Martin, known as “Martinator,” will likely miss the opening race due to a broken bone he sustained during a fall during the Sepang test session in January. Martin underwent surgery for the injury and is still in recovery.
Fellow racer Fabio Di Giannantonio, representing Pertamina Estrella Galicia 0,0, is also facing a possible absence from the first Grand Prix. He had sustained a collarbone injury during the Sepang test and went through a surgical procedure.
A Packed 2025 Season
The 2025 MotoGP season will feature a total of 22 races, with Indonesia once again confirmed on the calendar. The Indonesian Grand Prix is set for October 3 to 5 at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The season will conclude with the Valencia Grand Prix from November 14 to 16 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit.
