As can be seen in the footage, there are discarded bottles of pesticides next to the water, as many were those who left their waste. This resulted in the water being contaminated with arsenic. “We are talking regarding a disaster,” said livestock farmer Thanasis Katsaros, who has lost at least 100 sheep in recent years. As he said, many animals drink from the contaminated water, as a result of which there is a risk of interruption of milk production, while many farmers use the water for their crops.
