Kochi: Complaint that CPI leader P. Raju and his friends cheated Rs. Ahmed Razeen, a native of Thrissur Edavilang S.N. Puram, filed a complaint once morest CPI Ernakulam district secretary P. Raju, Dhanish NM, Vitul Shankar and CV Sai.
Ahmed Razeen said in the complaint that he was running a car servicing center called Auto Mates at Palarivattam Anchumana and met P. Raju, who was the district secretary at that time, as per Dhanish’s statement two years ago. Then he forced him to become a partner in the business by saying that selling vegetables in Horticorp would make a huge profit and because he had administrative influence, he would get the bills changed quickly. Then he promised to be a partner in the business of buying vegetables and selling them to Horticorp and paid 62 lakh rupees in several installments to the driver Dhanish and his friend Vithul as per P Raju’s instructions.
Out of this, Rs 17 lakh was recovered. The remaining 45 lakh rupees have not been received. When they inquired, they came to know that they had received money from Horticorp. It was also learned that P.Raju bought the car he is currently using by spending 15 lakh rupees from the money he gave. Ahmed Razeen said in the complaint that he cheated the accused and cheated him.
The complaint was filed last day. Bank documents related to the said matters have also been asked to be produced. Ahmed Razeen told Manorama Online that these documents will be presented to the police this evening.
Nothing to do with the complaint: P. Raju
Raju said he had nothing to do with the complaint. It was the first time I saw the complainant when he was shown on TV. Recently I came to know that my driver and another person are doing vegetable business. I didn’t know regarding such a thing, even though they asked for my help till today – P. Raju told Manorama Online.
“I came to know regarding the incident when I saw it on TV. Then asked the driver. Then they say that this complainant had lodged a complaint in this regard at Kodungallur station and they appeared with all the documents. They have all the documents that all the money to be paid to the complainant has been paid through the bank account. After that, the police said that nothing might be done regarding it. I know all this yesterday.
You know some of the sectarian problems existing within the party. The way was when I thought of all the ways to destroy me under its cover. Because I understand that the new officer checked and found that all the figures they brought with regard to the fund were wrong. Ernakulam district secretary KM Dhinakaran and his colleagues have found that the figure is not correct. Only a small amount of difference was detected. That too can only be resolved with an explanation.
The matter will be examined by the party state executive today. So, yesterday, this complainant was arrested and brought and a statement was made. I have nothing to do with him. Don’t know him. Hasn’t come to my office either. Let this also sit on my head, my party members will see behind all this.”- Raju clarified.
Meanwhile, the station house officer of Palarivattam police station said that a complaint has been received regarding P. Raju. But no documents have been submitted regarding the matters mentioned in the complaint. The police informed that the matter related to the case is being investigated in detail.
