While AvtoVAZ is resuming production volumes of the popular LADA Vesta NG model, an eastern competitor of the car is coming from the West. We are talking about the Chinese Kaiyi E5 sedan, the production of which was mastered at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant, as reported by the Za Rulem publication.
According to experts in the world of the car market, both models have approximately similar dimensions and a possible price.
It is expected that about 1.6 million rubles will be asked for the Kaliningrad sedan in its basic version with a manual transmission. If we are talking about a complete set with a variator – already 400 thousand rubles more.
The new Kaiyi E5 will receive a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 147 “horses” and, according to experts, will be able to “move” the Vesta NG brand.
