AFTER four series in Yogyakarta, Tasikmalaya, Surabaya, and Subang, the 2024 Superchallenge Supermoto Race National Championship Series will soon enter the final round in Boyolali, Central Java. A line of elite supermoto riders are ready to fight it out for the overall championship title at the Boyolali Circuit, on Friday to Saturday, August 30-31, 2024.

As the final series, this event will also be more exciting with the sportainment concept that specifically presents a lady stuntrider from Thailand Rattana Pangpond Fhaisiri. Rattana will duet with Indonesian stuntrider Wawan Tembong to entertain supermoto enthusiasts who attend with their extreme actions.

On the track, this final round is sure to be hot with competition from famous riders such as Tommy Salim, Yaasin Somma, Gerry Salim, Doni Tata, to Farudila Adam. Until the final round in Boyolali, these names still have the chance to win the overall championship title, especially in the main class FFA 250 and FFA 180 Open.

Superchallenge representative Mario Putra said that the luck of the racers will be determined by their consistency, strategy, and hard work in the final series. Moreover, the temporary standings in each class are still quite open and allow each racer to push for the top position.

“The four previous series were very competitive and each rider tried to show their best ability to get maximum points. Well, in this last series, the competition map, especially in the FFA 250 and FFA 180 Open classes, will be very tight to compete for the overall championship title in each class. This is certainly interesting to watch who is the best of the best,” said Mario Putra.

The rivalry has indeed intensified, especially in the main FFA 250 class. Tommy Salim, who performed brilliantly in the previous four series, is still at the top of the standings with 173 points. However, the racer from the “Super Rider Team” must be vigilant, considering that Yaasin Somma is quite close behind him with 162 points. Maliki Somma still has a similar opportunity in third place with 153 points.

“The chances are still wide open. We hope that all riders can bring out their best abilities on the track to become the Overall Champion of the 2024 Superchallenge Supermoto Race. With competitive competition like this, of course it will also be an interesting spectacle for all supermoto fans, especially in Boyolali and its surroundings,” said Mario.

Meanwhile, in the 180 Junior class, the top three standing points are filled by rider Benaya Farel who must maintain his 176 points from the threats of Davin CP (156 points) and Maliki Somma (146 points). Abed Nego Antoro from Genta Auto & Sport as the promoter, said that the Boyolali Circuit has been prepared optimally to ensure smooth competition from the riders who will compete. With a track length of around 1,150 meters and a width of 10 meters, the Boyolali Circuit has 10 bends with a very challenging layout.

Abet said the ability and agility of the racers in determining the breaking point will greatly determine the final result of the race. “The Boyolali Circuit is a permanent circuit and the asphalt is very suitable for full throttle racers. But of course they must also be aware of the challenging corners that are not easy to conquer,” added Abet Nego.

Ahead of the race this weekend, rider Tommy Salim has expressed optimism in maintaining the top of the standings and winning the overall championship. The rider with starting number 75 has done various training and preparation to maximize his action on the track and overcome the resistance of his rivals. According to Tommy, even though his position is in the wind, he must not be careless and avoid blunders in the race later.

“In the 2024 Superchallenge Supermoto Race, I competed in two classes, namely FFA 250 and 180 Open. Incidentally, in those two classes my points were the highest compared to the others. But this is also a challenge in itself to be able to maintain points and seal the overall championship title in two categories at once. So far, the preparation has been more rest so that I will be fitter for the upcoming race,” explained Tommy. (Z-6)
