Comparison of fuel prices in Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany as of November 22

End of the government discount in France, lower prices in Luxembourg… we take stock of the prices at the pump this Tuesday in the Greater Region.

This time it is over for the discount of 30 euro cents per liter of fuel set up by the government in France. After a rush at the pump of motorists on November 15 at the end of the day, prices therefore soared from Wednesday 16 in the morning in France. The fact remains that a discount of 10 cents is still in place until December, which even reaches 20 cents in the stations of the TotalÉnergies group.

At the same time, significant reductions in tariffs occurred successively in Luxembourg for a few days, the latest, yesterday Monday, even saw diesel regain a price (1.696 euro per litre) that we had not known for several months. The Grand Duchy therefore easily becomes the country of the Greater Region where fuel prices are the most reasonable.

Finally, and even if they started from much further away (in this case higher), it should be noted that the prices of petrol and diesel in Belgium have also fallen considerably over the past seven days.

The prices displayed for France and Germany are averages obtained after a price survey carried out in five border service stations in each country.
