Company cars are becoming more expensive for companies

Düsseldorf Company cars are increasingly becoming a burden for companies. Supply bottlenecks at manufacturers are delaying the replacement of leasing fleets and the switch to electromobility. The high fuel prices also turn the fuel cards commonly used by many companies into a cost trap.

A Handelsblatt survey of medium-sized and DAX companies shows that individual companies now have to ask their employees to drive their company car longer than planned. The main reason: There are simply not enough new vehicles. Of the German bank it says: “Extensions from a few months to almost a year are not uncommon today.”
