At the initiative of the Senate Business Delegationthe Senate consults companies to assess the weight and complexity of the standards they have to deal with.
This online consultation is carried out as part of the information mission on the simplification of French rules and standards applicable to businesses, led by Senators Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Jean-Pierre Moga and Olivier Rietmann. Despite the recommendations of the Senate in the 2017 report of the Delegation, “simplify effectively to liberate companies”the administrative burden on businesses still represents a cost of regarding 3% of GDP, or more than 60 billion euros!
Business responses will help senators formulate strong proposals for simplifying business standards to become finally a tangible reality for all companies. For Serge Babary, President of the Delegation: “this consultation is part of the DNA of the Business Delegationa unique body within Parliament which, since its creation, has identified and denounced obstacles to business development, growth and employment. For more than 8 years, his work has highlighted the persistent difficulties encountered in simplifying the standards applicable to companies.. Our regular trips to the field also make it possible to update this complexity which is detrimental to the competitiveness of our companies”.
The Delegation will examine the information report at the end of the first half of 2023.
