Internet sources have published a new piece of information about the Xperia 5 IV smartphone, which is being prepared for release by Sony. The novelty will replace the Xperia 5 III model shown in the images.
Data about the device has already appeared on some certification resources, in particular, on the website of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It is said that the device will receive a display with a diagonal of about 6.0 inches. The dimensions of the front of the case are indicated – 155.74 × 67.1 mm.
It is known that the “heart” of the Sony Xperia 5 IV will be the flagship Qualcomm processor. It can be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip or a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with eight processing cores and an advanced 5G modem. In the first case, the clock frequency reaches 3.0 GHz, in the second – 3.2 GHz.
According to the new information, the smartphone will be equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter. The presence of a wireless battery charging system (Qi standard) is confirmed.
According to rumors, there will be modifications of the device with 8 and 12 GB of RAM. The capacity of the flash drive will be 128 and 256 GB. The official presentation of the Sony Xperia 5 IV may take place during the international exhibition of consumer electronics IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung), which will be held in Berlin (Germany) from September 2 to 6.
