How to use message formatting tools on iPhone/iPad

With the app open, select the desired conversation and start writing in the text bar.

Then, tap the stylized “A” button above the keyboard and choose an option between bold (represented by a “B”), italic (represented by an “I”), strikethrough (represented by the “U”), or strikethrough (in the “S”).

Optionally, select all the desired text and go to “Text Effects”.

Finally, send the message as normal.

How to use message formatting tools on Mac

With the text written within a conversation, select it, right-click and choose between the “B”, “I”, “U” or “S” buttons.

If you prefer, go to “Format” in the menu bar to see and select the options.
