Montpellier Handball is actively seeking a creative and experienced Communications Manager to join their team and play a vital role in the club’s continued growth and evolution.

Lead a Dynamic Communications Strategy

Reporting to the General Director of Operations, the Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy across all club entities, including SAS MHB, MHB Association (academy and women’s sections), MHB Events, and the Endowment Fund. This leader will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and strengthen the overall brand identity of Montpellier Handball.

This dynamic role involves:

* Developing and implementing a global communications strategy designed to attract and engage a growing audience.

* Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the press and media to promote positive coverage and manage external communications effectively.
* Collaborating closely with the sales department to develop and support marketing initiatives that drive the sales of the club’s resource centers.

* Overseeing the club’s presence on social media platforms, creating engaging content, and building a thriving online community.
* Developing and managing the communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking key performance indicators.

* Negotiating and managing partnerships with external service providers, including agencies and media outlets.

* Leading press and media relations on home match nights, coordinating volunteers and interns, and orchestrating the real-time production of engaging content for social media.

* Producing innovative and eye-catching content, including written articles, videos, and photos, to showcase the club’s brand, values, and activities.

* Developing and maintaining the club’s graphic charter for digital, print, and stadium materials, ensuring visual consistency and brand alignment.

* Collaborating with partners and sponsors to promote their commitments and leverage mutually beneficial relationships.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates will possess:

* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.

* Significant experience in a similar communications role, preferably within the sports industry.

* Exceptional proficiency in digital tools and creation software, including Adobe Suite.

* Impeccable writing and communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.

* A strong capacity for independent work while also thriving in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

* A genuine passion for sports, coupled with a deep understanding and appreciation for the values of handball.

* Demonstrated rigor, emotional intelligence, efficiency, team spirit, humility, and a collaborative approach.
