Yousra chose a pink dress designed by the fashion house Oscar De La Renta, made of a silk blend, from the shoulders with a drape layer, and detailed with a brooch decorated with crystals, and her blonde hair was tied down, and she was decorated with soft makeup.
But she was not spared the bullying and criticism from some who confirmed that the progress of age became clear to her despite attempts to hide it with makeup and cosmetics. They also circulated other pictures of her revealing the extent to which her features had changed, and described her appearance as terrifying, saying, “Time has betrayed her.”
The artist, Mervat Amin, had been subjected to bullying and ridicule on various social networking sites, following circulating her picture without makeup, which was taken by a photographer at the funeral of the famous director Ali Abdel Khaleq, and her features seemed to be signs of old age, as if time had defeated her.
On the other hand, Yousra recently participated in the filming of the series “Rose and Laila” alongside actress Nelly Karim.
The series “Rose and Laila” is the first Arab drama series of its kind bearing international names in writing and directing. The series was written by British author and scriptwriter Chris Cole, owner of works (“Mad Dogs”, “Ana” and “Pelican Blood”), while the work bears the signature of the film and television director.
