Commitments made by the Ministry of Health

The principle of setting up incentive measures for the benefit of doctors and dentists to promote equality, particularly in the aspect linked to the conditions for benefiting from health cover, has been recorded. This is announced by the unions of liberal doctors in a press release published following their meeting on March 17 with the Minister of Health and Social Protection.

This meeting “will undoubtedly be a first step towards an effective and strong partnership in the service of health and the citizen, also making it possible to advance the position of the doctor and the dentist”, advance the trade unionists. The latter also indicate that other commitments have been made by the Ministry of Health, namely:

  • Preparation of the national reference pricing review file (TNR) by the end of October 2022.
  • The revision of the general nomenclature of professional acts to increase the number of reimbursable acts from 3,000 to 7,000.
  • The development of a list of incentives for doctors and dentists, in coordination with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). On this point, the press release specifies that technical meetings are planned in order to examine all the details.
