Second largest German bank replaces the company Linde

The traditional bank with the yellow logo had to vacate its place in the DAX in September 2018 in favor of Wirecard, the stock market favorite at the time. A little later, the payment service provider triggered one of the biggest scandals in German economic history with bogus transactions worth billions.

The unscheduled change in the DAX became necessary following the Linde company announced in January that it only wanted to be listed on New York’s Wall Street. The DAX loses its most valuable member. The armaments company Rheinmetall, which was temporarily considered the best successor candidate, must continue to be patient.
