Britain’s King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, celebrate the life and career of the late Queen Elizabeth II by holding special prayers on the first anniversary of her death.

The British news agency (BA Media) said that Charles and Camilla, who reside at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, will go to Crathie Kirk Church for the mourning event, where the late Queen used to pray.

The event represents a very special moment for the king, who assumed the throne following the death of his mother last year at Balmoral on September 8th at the age of ninety-six, following ruling the country for seventy years.

The king recorded a message and put up a favorite photograph of his mother to commemorate the first anniversary of her death and his accession to the throne.

In written and spoken words, recorded at Balmoral Castle on Thursday, Charles said that he remembered “with great love her long life, her loyal service and all that she meant to so many of us.”
