Command with Venezuela in Colombia calls to vote in Cúcuta

The Command with Venezuela – Cúcuta, in Colombia, through its chief Andrés Alberto Calles Rodríguez, in a press conference invited the 1,225 voters registered at the Venezuelan Consulate in the northern capital of Santander to exercise their right to vote freely and without pressure.

Calles Rodríguez said: “This vote of confidence is the key, which you owe to yourself. Let us profess our choice united in a date with democracy this Sunday, July 28, from 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Do not leave the decision of the years to come in your country in the hands of others. Your opinion is valid when you vote.”

To vote at the Consulate, it is necessary to be registered with the National Electoral Council (CNE), be of legal age, have a laminated Venezuelan identity card and have been duly authorized by the consular office to issue the right to vote.

During the press conference, Calles Rodríguez showed those present how Venezuelans will vote at the Consulate, indicating that there will be a ballot – manual – with the candidates registered for this Venezuelan presidential election on July 28, 2024, and the parties they represent.

He said that the ballot of Edmundo González Urrutia, backed by opposition leader María Corina Machado, is the only option that truly represents the path to the restoration of democracy, institutionality, human rights, social justice, economic reactivation and, above all, the reunification of families.

The opposition representative in Cúcuta recalled that, officially, the votes for Edmundo González Urrutia – the Unity card represented with the little hand – will have six witnesses who will defend each opinion of the voters who decide in favor of the change offered by the opposition unity.

He also invited Venezuelans living in the Norte de Santander department to be part of this democratic celebration from outside the consular headquarters. “Let us go with faith, the day of the embrace is coming,” Calles Rodríguez concluded.
