Comedian Artus performs at the Toulouse casino… and wins 21,000 euros on slot machines

He himself spoke of his “biggest cachet”. The comedian and actor Artus had the pleasant surprise of winning the sum of 21,000 euros at the slot machines at the Casino Barrière in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), the establishment told Le Parisien this Friday March 15, confirming information from The Midday Dispatch.

The 36-year-old artist was in Toulouse to perform in the performance hall on March 5 and 6, as part of his “One Man Show” tour. He took advantage of his visit to go play the establishment’s slot machines on Tuesday followingnoon, before going on stage in the evening.

A fake check shown to the public during shows

And the prize for him is a nice jackpot! By using the “701 Lock it Link” machine in the games room, the comedian won “a little over 21,000 euros”, the establishment told us. As is customary in these cases, he was also given a large fake check from the casino, awaiting the real win.

The Casino Barrière finally confirmed to Le Parisien that Artus had gone on stage during his two performances with the famous check, in order to show it to the public, which obviously amused the spectators.

Currently on tour with his show, this year Artus played Benoît Gênant, the main character of the series “Benoît Gênant Officiel”, released in January 2024 and will soon appear in the film “Un p’tit truc en plus”, of which he is also the director, a first.
