An extremely successful carpool is reporting back to the second state rally championship race of this season on March 15th and 16th in Rebenland with their Skoda Fabia RS Rallye2. The veterans Raimund Baumschlager (64) and co-driver Thomas Zeltner (67), who celebrated no fewer than 40 victories between 2004 and 2016, form a duo once more.
The fact that they have 131 years together shouldn’t be an obstacle. The weekend test drives in Rosenau made us want more. “The feeling was as if we had just driven together yesterday,” said co-driver Zeltner, who had taken a break for health reasons (voice problems).
“We are no longer among the contenders for victory, but we will do our best,” assured the 14-time national champion Baumschlager.
