Rui (Eri Fukatsu) and Joe Odagiri (C) NHK looking at the sea together on the beach
A serial television novel “Come Come Everybody” (NHK Morning Dora) that depicts the life of a woman for three generations centered on a radio English course. January 15th looks back on the 11th week (broadcast from January 10th to 14th) entitled “1962-1963”.
The heroine Rui (Eri Fukatsu) has begun to regain her childhood memories with her mother, Yasuko (Mone Kamishiraishi), who was regarding to forget, triggered by the performance of the trumpet played by jazz musician Joe Odagiri. .. Then, on Jizo Bon Day, when the festival is held in the shopping district, I visit the “Takemura Cleaning Shop” where Harui Lockichiro lives and works.
Rui accepts Lockichiro and begins to talk regarding the origin of his name, the song “On the Sunny Side of the Street”, and his memory with his mother when he was young. Lockichiro also talks regarding his past and reveals that the same song as Rui has a special memory. Ruito Lockichiro gradually shortened the distance between his hearts, and the night of the festival was over.
If he decides to accept his past little by little, he buys records with the salary he has saved. I also went to an electronics store to see a record player, but the player wasn’t expensive and affordable. Taken by Lockichiro, who happened to see such a situation, Rui uses a jazz cafe player.
As he becomes more and more enthusiastic regarding jazz, he learns regarding jazz magazines and how to play the trumpet from Lockichiro. However, as his relationship with Lockichiro deepened, Rui was afraid that his heart would be attracted any more. He was worried regarding the scars on his forehead and was afraid that someone would be hurt by moving away from him.
At that time, the news that a contest hosted by Tokyo Music Production will be held comes in. It was to decide the best jazz trumpeter in Kansai. While Tommy (Taichi Saotome), a fellow musician of Lockichiro, is pleased with the chance to become a major player, Lockichiro says he has no intention of participating.
Tommy was furious when he heard that Lockichiro wouldn’t participate, but Kogure (Yoshimasa Kondo), a jazz cafe master who knew the origin of Lockichiro, who was an orphan in the war, reminded him of his true intentions. Kogure thought that for Lockichiro, who thinks he has only a trumpet, he doesn’t want to be hurt by participating in the contest. In addition, Berry (Mikako Ichikawa), a female college student who is chasing following Lockichiro, wants to support Lockichiro, but is refused by Lockichiro.
Meanwhile, Rui is invited to drive from Tommy to the sea. Berry and Lockichiro joined the drive for a double date with four people. This W date was planned in collaboration with Tommy to fulfill Berry’s desire to deepen his relationship with Lockichiro, who wouldn’t ride even if he invited him to a date. However, Tommy also had a certain aim in this drive. The idea is that if you’re a kid, you can move Lockichiro’s feelings of not participating in the contest …
