Eclipse the vocal group and Incubator Experience invites all people who would like to sing in a group to participate in the Choral Experience next Thursday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in Terrebonne.
For the occasion, a medley composed of the most loved Christmas songs according to a vote on the Web by people who like choral experiences was created. It will therefore be a festive moment as the holiday season approaches!
What is a Choral Experience?
In 2018, Hugo Valiquette, president and director of Éclipse – the vocal group as well as experimenter and trainer at Expérience incubateur launched the idea of creating ephemeral choirs, people coming together for an evening to rehearse and record one song ! So, during the Choral Experience, everyone interested in singing as a group gathers at 7 p.m. to rehearse and then record the song. This is then shared on social media to see the result. To participate, you do not need to have experience in choral music. You just need to want to participate, sing and have musical pleasure for an evening!
How it works ?
To participate, people are invited to go to http://experiencechorale.com. On the site, people will find all the information to formalize their participation and pay the $20 registration fee. Subsequently, people can listen to the frame associated with their voice (high, medium or low voice) as well as the lyrics and the score. Before the Choral Experience, simply listen to the sung score a few times.
What happens during the Choral Experience?
On Thursday, December 7 from 6:45 p.m., people are invited to gather at 640 montere Masson, suite 100 in Terrebonne. At the beginning of the evening, together, the participants rehearse the song. Around 9:15 p.m., we record the song and at 9:45 p.m., we celebrate a great evening of music! In the days that followed, the video of the evening was presented on the social media of Eclipse – the vocal group and Experience incubator.
Which song makes up the Christmas medley?
The December 7 Christmas medley features excerpts from the songs It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas, All I Want For Christmas is You, Feliz Navidad and Glory Alleluia. For the musical director, Hugo Valiquette: “This medley will be truly festive as the holiday season approaches! I invite you to get into the Christmas spirit and come sing as a gang, with us!
