Indeed, the quantity wasted can total on average 30 days of drinking water consumption for a Moroccan family, which uses 90 cubic meters annually.

In another capsule, the ministry emphasizes that leaving the tap open while doing the dishes is equivalent to three months of a family’s consumption. Accumulated over time, even drops of water linked to leaks which many consider banal constitute a considerable volume: five months of average consumption for a Moroccan family.

Another video also focuses on the use of the garden hose to floor cleaning. She indicates that the quantity wasted due to this use is equivalent to two months of drinking water consumption for a Moroccan family. In this sense, the ministry recommends the use of other means that consume less water, in particular using a broom.
