Since this death, the Guadeloupe Espoir Sickle Cell Association has decided to redouble its efforts to alert everyone regarding the measures to take to destroy larval breeding sites, but also to increase the blood donations so necessary to help sickle cell patients. .

However, the fight continues and the figures are there to remind us: 820 cases clinically suggestive of dengue have been recorded in the Archipelago. They generated at least 75 visits to the Emergency Department and 12 hospitalizations. 9 patients had to be treated in intensive care. 3 people infected with dengue have died.
