Coma and cardiac arrest… the death of an Egyptian young woman from a fatal bee sting!

For the second time in a few weeksA bee sting caused the death of an Egyptian woman. Sadness descended on the people of the village of Kafr Salem Al-Nahal, affiliated to Al-Santa Center in Gharbia Governorate, following the death of the 29-year-old woman, Sahar Azmi Ibrahim Al-Minshawi, from a bee sting.

A number of villagers revealed to “Al Arabiya.net” that the girl was stung by a bee that led to her falling unconscious, and she died two days following she was taken to the hospital, noting that they did not believe what happened, and the shock and astonishment of her relatives.

A source in the Gharbia Health Directorate told Al-Arabiya.net that the deceased girl arrived at the central hospital in the city of Al-Santa with severe allergic shock as a result of being stung by a bee, which led to a cardiac arrest, adding that the doctors at the hospital tried to save her, as she was unconscious and in a complete coma.

He added that the girl was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the electric shock device was used, but the heart did not respond due to her suffering from allergies from bee stings, which is an excessive sensitivity and is one of the very rare cases, noting that the girl died in the hospital affected by that.

The village of Menouf, affiliated to the center and city of Tanta in the same governorate, which is Gharbia, had Last May also witnessed a similar incidentA 32-year-old man, Nader Khaled Al-Jazzar, died following being stung by a bee. Although the young man was taken to the hospital for treatment, the doctors were unable to save him, as he suffers from allergies.

It turned out that the newly married young man had recently rented a station to collect agricultural crops, and while continuing his work, he was stung by a bee, and he passed out, following which he was transferred to a private hospital, where the doctors’ attempts to save him were unsuccessful.
