You can’t stop progress at Colruyt. At the risk, sometimes, of losing a bit of human contact. And it’s not the brand’s last “test” that will fix things. Indeed, the specialized site Gondola tells us that Colruyt will test a digital assistant in the wine departments of six of its stores.

Specifically, customers of the stores in question will find a touch screen that will help them find the wine they like. Price, associations, taste, the different criteria of the customers will be respected. “The end goal is to make shopping easy and efficient, while being able to inspire our customers,” explained Olivier Tournet, wine consultant at Colruyt and co-responsible for the project, to our colleagues at Gondola.
It should be noted that these assistants must come to help the wine advisors who will always circulate on the shelves to help customers, but who are sometimes overwhelmed.
The test will be carried out in the next six months in the following stores: Wetteren, Zele, Merelbeke, Liedekerke, Hal and Menin. An evaluation will be carried out at the end of this period.
