The 44-year-old man who is accused of repeatedly raping his son’s 16-year-old girlfriend, insisted in front of the investigator that there was no rape but consensual sex.
According to APE-MBE information, the 44-year-old claims that he had a relationship with the victim for the last 2.5 months, a relationship which, as he told the court officer, was the reason his estranged wife left him.
The accused reportedly states that the girl approached him about his son with whom she was involved. But along the way, according to the defendant, the 16-year-old wanted to be with him. It is even alleged that he characterized as his mistake, that he had not informed the minor’s father.
According to information, the 44-year-old asked the investigator to order the removal of the phone privacy in order to find the messages he had exchanged with the victim.
After the completion of the procedure, the investigator and the prosecutor assessed the seriousness of the acts attributed to the 44-year-old and decided that the accused should remain temporarily detained.
The testimony of the 44-year-old’s son as a defense witness was completed earlier, and as Elena Galari reported to OPEN, the testimony of the 16-year-old follows. The defendant’s estranged wife then testified. As soon as the testimonies of the defense witnesses were completed, the 44-year-old’s testimony began. However, in his written statement, through his lawyer, he claims that he had an open, honest and official relationship with the 16-year-old girl and that this was the reason he broke up with his wife.
The 44-year-old is accused of raping the 16-year-old at least 10 times in the last two and a half months and is facing the felony charge of committed rape as well as subsequent.
In fact, according to the police, the 44-year-old drove her to a plot of land in Colonos and inside his car he forced her, under threats, to have sex.
The 44-year-old was arrested last Friday, following a complaint by the 16-year-old’s father, that he was driving his car outside the victim’s house, which he was calling on the phone.
“He sent her threatening messages, that if she opened her mouth he would kill her father and sister. She made the child swear to her dead mother that she would not speak. there was no consent, the child is broken. She was afraid, she said “I don’t have a mother, should I lose my father too?”” the 16-year-old’s father told ERT.
“When at some point he (the 44-year-old’s son) wanted to move on, he found another woman and started a relationship. He knew what was going on with his father, the little girl had sent it to him, but he had also told him. Not only did he make no move to stop it, he was calling her along with the new one and they were pressuring her to meet. To threaten her, to scare her, to take her cell phone and not have the messages from him. They were extorting the girl, and he (the 44-year-old) and his son.”

The description of the 16-year-old, presented by Mega, is shocking: “I had a panic attack. I was shaking. I couldn’t breathe. I was very afraid. I told him: Please leave. I’m afraid. And he told me… five minutes, to do it and we left. Then he said he didn’t do anything and it’s in my imagination. Go drive me crazy.”
According to the 16-year-old, the 44-year-old claimed to be suffering from cancer, like her late mother. He was exploiting even that and blackmailing her.
“He was threatening me. He was telling me that he will take my father and that he knows he has a heart problem. I will punch him twice in the heart and take him to where your mother is…”, describes the 16-year-old. “He told me he wanted to do it again and I was saying why are you doing this. He replied that he is not well, that he wanted to do it before he passed away. What is my fault? I told him. He did it again and said he didn’t and that’s my impression.”
Finally, the minor girl couldn’t take it anymore and spoke to her father, who immediately went to the police. The police watched the 44-year-old, who was careful in his movements, and when they saw him under the 16-year-old’s house they arrested him even though he tried to escape.
The 44-year-old claims that there is no question of rape and cites messages on his mobile phone. “I want to make love,” one of the messages reportedly read.
