Colón de Santa Fe and Vélez Sarsfield open this Sunday the Copa Río de La Plata summer tournament that is played in Uruguay until January 27 and in which Argentine, Uruguayan, Peruvian and Ecuadorian teams participate.
At minute 42, the referee awarded Vélez a penalty for a foul by Facundo Garcés on Lucas Janson in the area. The defender avoided what was going to be the first goal for Fortín, when the striker was in front of the goal without a goalkeeper. However, from twelve steps, Janson himself converted for his team, opening the scoring.
The match will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the Maldonado Campus and will be refereed by local Leodán González. It is broadcast on ESPN 3:
- Digital Cablevision, HD and Flow: channels 24, 26, 27, 33, 103, 104 or 624.
- DirecTV: channels 623 (SD) and 1623 (HD).
- Telecentre: channels 108 (SD) and 1012 (HD).
The friendly can also be seen on Star +, ESPN’s online platform.
The organization looked for a player in common between sabaleros and fortineros, such as goalkeeper Leonardo Fabián Burián and the Cup at stake will bear the name “Cachorro”.
Two periods of 45 minutes are played and each coach can use a maximum of seven substitutions. If following 90 minutes equality persists, penalties must be executed to resolve a winner.
