A Colombian delegation made up of eight sailors is already competing in the South American Youth Sailing Championship.
Those led by coaches Pablo Sanguinetti and Samuel Hormiga, will be on the waters of the Pacific Ocean that borders the beaches of Paracas, Peru.
The Colombian team, in the under 21 category, is made up of Ana Sofía Bermúdez Cifuentes and Harold Martínez, in Sunfish, and Juan Diego Chaves with Luisa Ariza, in Ilca 7 and 6, respectively.
For their part, in the sub-19 category, Juan José Hincapié (sunfish) and Antonia Fonseca (ilca 6) are the representatives, while Tomás de La Vega and Gabriela Lizarazo are the athletes in the sub-18 category ilca 4 class .
According to the provisional results of the Peruvian Sailing Federation this Wednesday, during the first four regattas of the international competition, in the sunfish modality, Juan José Hincapié (sub-19) is the most outstanding of the Colombians by occupying the second box with four net points and six total after occupying first position in the first two regattas and second in the third and fourth.
For her part, after the first four regattas, Ana Bermúdez appears in fourth position overall with 13 net points (38 total) and Harold Martínez registers a net score of 18 (total of 26) in sixth place overall of its modality.
In the ilca 7 modality, Juan Diego Chaves occupies fifth position in the under-21 category with a net and total score of 21 units. In ilca 6, Antonia Fonseca (sub-19) occupies position 25 with a net score of 68 (total of 94) and Luisa Fernanda Ariza (sub-21) appears in 26th place with net scores of 73 and total of 98 .
This Thursday, November 14, the emotions of the international competition will continue and the sailors who are part of the ilca 4 category will debut with the nationals Tomás de La Vega and Gabriela Lizarazo.
