In a private meeting, the Colombian president, Gustavo Petro, asked General William Salamanca, director of the National Police, to work hand in hand with the new mayors and governors to guarantee the well-being of the members of the Public Force and their families.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic also asked General Salamanca regarding the need to strengthen the training and professionalization of the members of the institution, as well as the well-being bodies for them and their families.
In that same sense, the Head of State pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen the strategy, human and technological capacity of the members of the institution and that therefore coordinated work with governors and mayors is essential.
At the meeting, the new security strategy in the country was also evaluated, aimed at saving lives, which will be presented in the coming days.
