In the interview, ‘Hugol’ was asked his opinion on the age of the current Colombian soccer scorers, since they are all over 35 years old. The captain of Santa Fe responded with a clear message for those who criticize him and other players because of his age.

“Worrying because, previously, many young people were seen in the scoring table. We are talking about many years ago, when players no older than 25 were leading or fighting for the golden boot. On the other hand, now, the ones who are making the difference are the old people, as they say, and those who are already retiring”, Hugo Rodallega

Rodallega continued by making it clear that, if the “older” players are the ones making the difference, it is because something is wrong.

“So, if we are retiring and we are stubborn in football, something is happening and something is wrong. If young people are not surpassing us…”, Hugo Rodallega
