After the special mention from the documentary jury in Tarifa, the Guinean director, Thierno Souleymane Diallo won the audience prize for best documentary at the African film festival in Cologne in Germany with his film “In the cemetery of the film released in 2022.
“It’s always a great pleasure to be awarded an award. The audience award for best documentary is super interesting, especially since a lot of people come to vote. It’s very important for a film,” responded Souleymane.
The Film Cemetery has already won five awards, including the Audience Award in Berlin, a Special Jury Mention at Fespaco, the Spanish Cooperation Prize in Tarifa, Spain, another Special Mention from the Documentary Jury in Tarifa, as well as the audience award for best documentary at the Cologne African Film Festival in Germany.
