Two children and an adult are in critical condition following a collision between two vehicles on Sunday in Val-Brillant, in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Route 132, near the intersection of rue des Cèdres.
According to preliminary information, the driver of a sedan would have deviated from his lane, for an as yet unknown reason, before colliding with a minivan.
The three occupants of the sedan, an adult and two children, were seriously injured as a result of the impact.
«[Les deux enfants] were airlifted to a hospital in the Montreal area,” said Agent Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Monday morning, we still feared for their lives.
A third child also suffered serious injuries aboard the minivan, but his condition remains stable, while the driver was slightly injured.
Fatigue might have played a role in the accident, estimates the provincial police force which sees no criminal act for the moment.
A reconstructionist went to the scene to clarify the circumstances surrounding this accident.
