Jizan: The ceiling of a college building collapsed in Jizan, South West Saudi Arabia. Due to heavy rain on Wednesday, the roof of the waiting room of the female students of the college collapsed.
There was no casualty in the incident. No one was injured. The college is under Jizan University. A university spokesperson said the damage was being repaired. The Deputy Governor ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident and submitted a report. Jizan Deputy Governor Ameer Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz has directed to form a special committee and submit an urgent report.

Extensive testing continues; 14,529 expatriates were arrested within a week
RIYADH: Inspections aimed at finding violators of residence, employment and border security laws continue in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that 14,529 expatriate law breakers were caught during raids conducted by security departments in various provinces of the country. Of these, 8,512 were violators of the Iqama Act, 3,959 were violators of the Border Security Act, and 2,058 were violators of the Labor Act.
898 people were arrested while trying to enter the country by crossing the border. Of these, 63 percent are Yemenis, 36 percent are Ethiopians, and 1 percent are from other countries. Saudi security departments arrested 64 people who tried to leave the country illegally through the borders. 23 people were arrested for harboring and providing accommodation to those who violated labor and residence rules.
So far, 34,067 violators arrested have been transferred and processed by the authorities to their respective countries’ diplomatic offices to obtain travel documents. Of these, 1,854 were transferred to complete travel reservations and 9,494 were deported.
It is a serious offense to facilitate the entry of a person attempting to enter Saudi Arabia or to provide him with transportation, shelter or any other assistance or service.
