The Government told the automotive transport chambers that there will be no additional subsidies for groups and urged them to “channel” the union conflict with the Automotive Tram Union (UTA), which is seeking a salary recomposition. The conflict might lead to a new strike.
The meeting, chaired by the Secretary of Transportation, Franco Mogettalasted more than an hour and was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, one day before the date agreed by the Ministry of Labor for the companies that operate the lines of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and the union meet once more to try to unblock the conflict.
The general secretary of the UTA, Roberto Fernandezwarned on Monday that if the companies do not commit to paying the difference of 250,000 pesos that they owe, there will be a new measure of force.
