Collected 250 thousand pounds, the 13-year-old starts a new campaign for the children of Ukraine – >

A 13-year-old who previously went viral following raising more than £250,000 for Ukrainian children is hoping his latest fundraiser will be just as successful.

Gabriel Clark went viral last year when his ‘Boël for Ukraine’ initiative, a wooden bowl he carved in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, attracted the attention of ardent supporters.

This year, the teenager, who lives in Cumbria, has decided to create another bowl, called ‘The Hope Boël’, following being inspired to see how the money raised from the first campaign went to help children in a school in Poland.

The school supports more than 450 children from Ukraine between the ages of six and 17 to study the Ukrainian curriculum in their native language, as well as offering Polish language lessons.

This year, Gabriel is raising money for Save the Children’s Emergency Fund, to support children further afield, in countries including East Africa.

“I feel like kids can sometimes be undervalued and they need our support because they can’t work to earn money to support themselves.

And the world has so many problems with it, so I think if I can do my part to fix some of them, then I want to try.” Gabriel is.

Gabriel has raised more than £6,000 so far.
